KNOXVILLE, TN, August 14, 2024 – The Character Group, LLC dba Perceptics has been awarded a significant new contract to provide updated license plate recognition (LPR) and radio frequency identification (RFID) lane equipment at land ports of entry across North America. The award, following a competitive solicitation process, reflects continued confidence in Perceptics’ advanced vehicle identification solutions and its decades-long track record of delivering mission-critical technology.
Perceptics’ LPR systems are achieving 98% accuracy on all border-crossing traffic, including vehicles with specialty and vanity license plates. Combined with RFID readers that capture data from RFID-enabled documents, this technology helps streamline traveler and commercial processing while supporting security and operational priorities.
