KNOXVILLE, TN – Nov 8, 2024 – The Perceptics Foundation, a dedicated philanthropic arm of Industrial Device Investments (IDI), announced a $10,000 donation to the East Tennessee Foundation to support relief efforts for communities affected by Hurricane Helene. This contribution reflects the Foundation’s commitment to aiding in the recovery and resilience of those impacted, particularly in East Tennessee, where the IDI and Perceptics teams are headquartered.
“Our hearts are with the families and communities affected by Hurricane Helene, and we are proud to support relief efforts through a donation to the East Tennessee Foundation,” said Perceptics Foundation President, Kim Herrera. “With many of our employees being East Tennessee natives, this cause holds particular significance for us and aligns with our mission to strengthen the communities where we live and work.”
The Perceptics Foundation offers a three-time match for volunteer time and donations from employees and their families within the IDI umbrella. The $10,000 donation was raised through an employee fundraising drive. Employees across four companies donated over $3,000 to the East Tennessee Foundation to raise the additional $10,000 in matching funds.
The East Tennessee Foundation will direct the Perceptics Foundation donation toward their Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund to aid in hurricane recovery through strategic grants to empower local nonprofits and agencies. These grants support long-term recovery efforts and risk mitigation for organizations as they rebuild in the wake of the hurricane.
